Overview

As Within is a wellness app designed to support meditation, breathwork, mindfulness, daily goals, reminders, and self-guided inner practice.

As Within is designed to minimize the collection of personal information. Most app data, including your progress, wellness-related preferences, and settings, is stored locally on your device and is not stored by us in the cloud.

Information We Collect

As Within collects only limited information that is necessary to provide core app functionality.

Account Identifier

As Within uses Sign in with Apple and Firebase Authentication to authenticate users.

A unique user identifier (UID) associated with your account is used so the app can recognize your authenticated account.

We do not use this identifier for advertising or cross-app tracking.

App Progress and Preferences

Information such as meditation progress, breathwork progress, daily goals, reminder preferences, saved settings, and other in-app progress is stored locally on your device.

We do not store this progress or preference information on our servers or in cloud storage.

Location

As Within may request access to your device's location.

Location is used to calculate sunrise and sunset information so the app can determine the appropriate Sun cycle, such as Rising, Peak, Setting, or Night.

Sunrise and sunset information is calculated within the app using your device's location. As Within does not use Apple WeatherKit or a third-party weather service for this calculation.

Location information used for this functionality is not stored by us on our servers.

You can disable location access at any time through your device's Settings.

Notifications

As Within may request permission to send notifications related to daily goals, meditation, breathwork, reminders, and other app features.

Notifications are optional. You can manage or disable notifications at any time through your device's Settings.

App Rating Requests

After you complete a daily goal, As Within may display Apple's system-provided App Store rating prompt.

As Within is designed to request a rating only after a completed daily goal and does not repeatedly present the request once it has already been requested.

We do not receive personal information about whether you submit a rating or what rating you provide through Apple's rating prompt.

Health and Wellness Information

As Within provides meditation, breathwork, mindfulness, goal-tracking, reminder, and wellness-related features.

Information about your practice and progress is stored locally on your device and is not stored by us in the cloud.

As Within is a general wellness application. It is not a medical service and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

Purchases and Subscriptions

As Within offers optional auto-renewable subscriptions through Apple's In-App Purchase system.

Payments are processed by Apple. Subscription entitlement information is managed using Apple's StoreKit services and RevenueCat.

We do not receive or store your full payment card information.

Third-Party Services

As Within uses a limited number of third-party and platform services to provide core app functionality.

These services include:

Sign in with Apple for account authentication.

Firebase Authentication for authentication and account UID management.

Firebase Firestore for limited account-related information and app feedback submitted by users.

RevenueCat for subscription entitlement management.

Apple StoreKit for In-App Purchases and subscriptions.

These services may process technical, account, transaction, or device-related information as necessary to provide their respective functionality and operate according to their own privacy practices.

Feedback

As Within allows you to optionally submit feedback about how the app can be improved.

Feedback messages are stored using Firebase Firestore so they can be reviewed and used to improve As Within.

Please avoid including sensitive personal information in feedback messages.

Data Sharing and Tracking

As Within does not sell your personal information.

As Within does not use your information for third-party advertising or cross-app tracking.

Information may be processed by service providers only when necessary to provide functionality such as authentication, account management, subscriptions, purchases, or feedback.

Data Retention and Deletion

Locally stored app progress, preferences, and settings remain on your device unless they are removed through the app, reset where applicable, or removed when the app is uninstalled.

Your As Within account can be permanently deleted through the account deletion feature available within the app.

If you have an active subscription that has already been canceled, As Within may allow you to choose whether to delete your account immediately or schedule account deletion after your remaining subscription access expires.

When account deletion is completed, the As Within authentication account and associated account information maintained by As Within are deleted. Locally stored account-related app data is also reset where applicable.

If account deletion is scheduled for the end of a subscription period, please allow up to 24 hours after the subscription expiration time for the deletion to be completed.

If a subscription is renewed before a scheduled account deletion occurs, the pending scheduled deletion request is canceled.

Deleting your As Within account does not automatically cancel an active App Store subscription. Subscriptions are managed through Apple and should be canceled separately if you do not want them to renew.

Information processed independently by Apple, Firebase, RevenueCat, or other service providers may be subject to their own retention requirements and privacy policies.

Your Choices

You can disable location access through iOS Settings.

You can disable notifications through iOS Settings.

You can manage or cancel subscriptions through your Apple account.

You can delete your As Within account through the app.

You can uninstall the app to remove locally stored application data from your device.

Children’s Privacy

As Within is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above.
